The Crassula Red Pagoda, also called Crassula capitella Red Pagoda is a cool and colorful Crassula. Her colors can change over the year from bright red to green. Coloration is strongly depending on light intensity, temperature and water conditions. It is beautiful to see all these changes over the year.
Crassula capitella Red Pagoda Care
Crassula capitella Red Pagoda grows best at temperatures of 18-24C. Like most Crassulaceae it is most active in spring and autumn. This is the best time to make new cuttings. The plants need to be watered more often in this period. Keep Crassula Red Pagoda more dry in summer when it is very hot. This Succulent needs plenty of light to grow and to get the red colors. It can grow with less light too but the colors will get more green and the leafs will grow thinner and longer. Leaf cuttings from Crassula capitella Red Pagoda form new baby Succulents very quickly. You have to use an intact leaf. It will not sprout new succulents when the leaf base is damaged.
