Senecio Peregrinus is a hybrid between Senecio rowleyanus and Senecio articulatus. The leaves look like cute little jumping dolphins. It is not so common to find this species. Fortunately this beautiful plant can be grown from cuttings rather easily. You have to use stem cuttings. Seperate dolphins (leafs) do not root and form new plants.
Senecio peregrinus Care
The plant needs bright but filtered light and a minimum temperature of 15C. Senecio Peregrinus grows mostly in spring and autumn. Reduce waterings when there is little growth, usually in cold periods (winter) and very hot periods (summer). The best way to root Senecio Peregrinus cuttings is by placing them flat on a good draining Succulent soil. Make sure that the stem of the cuttings makes good contact with the soil. Mist with some water every couple of days to prevent dehydration. Give more water when roots have formed in 2-3 weeks.
