Lava is a unique natural product used in potting mixtures for cactus plants and succulents. Some plant growers successfully cultivate cacti on pure Lava. Lava is so popular because it opens up the structure of the soil so more air can reach the roots of the plants and water drains faster. Lithops love this! The Lava particles are 1– 4 mm.
