Random seed mix of different Lithops species in various colors. If you like to germinate seeds and want to start a Lithops collection from your own Lithops seeds than this is a great way to start.
How to Germinate Lithops Seeds
Lithops seeds are very small. For best results use a 1 cm top layer of pumice (Bims) on your germination soil. Then evenly spread out the seeds on the pumice. Carefully water the seed tray or pot and wash in the seeds between the pumice. Cover the tray with a transparen lid or place it in a transparent plastic bag. Give bright light but avoid direct sun. The seeds should germinate in 10-14 days at temperatures around 20-24C. Slowly decrease air humidity when most of your seeds have germinated.
The young Lithops plants are very vulnerable the first 6 months. It is best to keep the seed tray slightly moist at all times in this period. When they are a little bigger you may let the soil dry out between waterings. Transplanting the Lithops is only needed when the plants are starting to push eachother too much.
